Learn how MAN leads you to successful Fleet electrification

Welcome to the era of emobility

The commercial vehicle industry as well as the transport industry are currently in the biggest transformation phase of their history. MAN is actively shaping this phase: With a clear strategy for drive technology transition towards the battery electric vehicle. And with the topic of sustainability officially and firmly enshrined in the corporate strategy, the path is heading to only one direction: The future.

At MAN FinancialServices we want to be at the forefront of positive change, and we are keenly aware of the part commercial vehicles can play in easing the ever-increasing weight of climate change. Making these vehicles feasible through financing is how we move forward; it’s our intent to provide a climate conscious alternative for every industry.

Sale of the new MAN eTruck starts
MAN eTGX for long-distance transport, MAN eTGS for distribution

10-2023

MAN Truck & Bus has launched sales of the first heavy-duty electric truck in its corporate history, marking another milestone in the decarbonisation of freight transport.

With the eMobility Center, MAN laid the foundation for the development of the new MAN eTGX and MAN eTGS high-volume electric trucks at its Munich plant around two years ago and invested heavily in preparations for mixed production of diesel and electric trucks. 50 prototypes have since been built, and around 4,000 employees from production and sales have been trained for the switch to electric mobility. At MAN's Nuremberg site, MAN is investing around €100 million in setting up battery production.

Already more than 500 order enquiries: MAN to launch electric truck for long-distance transport in 2024

07-2023

With the transformation to climate-neutral drive systems, road haulage is facing a groundbreaking change. MAN will start production of its electric long-haul truck in 2024. There are already more than 500 order enquiries. "The technological upheaval is in full swing. As early as 2030, half of our trucks registered annually in Europe should be battery-electric. For this to succeed, we need the support of politicians: in the Europe-wide construction of around 50,000 public truck charging points and a CO2 price that makes e-trucks more economical than diesel," said Alexander Vlaskamp, CEO of MAN Truck & Bus

Icy tests: MAN eTruck copes with polar winter

04-2023

From December to March, MAN integrated the upcoming large-series e-truck into its annual winter testing in northern Sweden. There, the MAN eTruck, which is suitable for daily ranges of between 600 and 800 kilometres, proved that it also works without problems in ice, snow and temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees. Driving functions and range, air conditioning and charging behaviour were the focus of thousands of successful electric test kilometres under Arctic conditions.
